Kenee Bang is a young, up and coming Hip Hop artist who plans to take the music industry by storm.  Born Kenson Robley, Kenee Bang has sought out to be original since an early age.  He has always inspired to stand out in all arenas; academics, sports and now, entertainment.  Being a native of theWest Indies, Kenee Bang was born in Trinidad and as a teen moved to Brooklyn, NY. Kenee lived in poverty his entire life.  Living in impoverished neighborhoods growing up from different parts of the world gave him great insight to the struggle of many which speaks volumes into his music.

His Father was a News Anchor.  His Aunt and Grandfather were prominent politicians in Trinidad.  Therefore, social awareness is second nature to him. Still in Trinidad at age 12, Kenee Bang began to listen to Hip Hop. He was captivated by the word play and wit of MC's like Nas, Jay-Z, Black Thought, Outkast, The Notorious B.I.G., Slick Rick, The Fugees, LL Cool J, Shyne, Wu-Tang, Talib Kweli and Mos Def.  At age 15, Kenee Bang wrote his first rap with the help of his childhood best friend who also encouraged him to become an MC.  Shortly after that, Kenee Bang and his family migrated to the US where his love for Hip Hop grew stronger.

Now in Brooklyn, New York, Kenee Bang joined a crew called GLE (Green Leaf Entertainment).  This move allowed Kenee Bang to be heard and soon people realized that he was a force to be reckoned with. His first recording was in 2007 under GLE titled Calm before the Storm.  Personal tragedy hit within Kenee Bang's family in 2008.  This left Kenee devastated for a few years.  During that time he separated from the crew.  After the struggle, Kenee became hungry and more determined to make it to the top.  He created Bang Series Entertainment.  Kenee began to record again in 2010 and dropped Finally Resurrected in 2011.

Kenee Bang has West Indies style with Brooklyn swag,  His style, rhymes and strong message sets him apart from others.  He wants to ensure people receive his message while enjoying good music. 
He has a blended style from his musical influences.  His raps are his true feelings about his life, his community and the world in general. Living in different countries gave Kenee a unique perspective on Life as a whole.  He looks to share his visions through music, books and film.

How would you describe your music/style?

What does music mean to you?

Music Means and is Food to me. Food for the Soul.

Whats the motivation behind your determination to make it in the music industry?

Just my journey in life so far and the routes in which my life has taken me I am compelled to the purpose of bringing a message to the masses thats my calling in this life in SOME CAPACITY through music! Industry or Not I will never stop.

Who have you collaborated with in the past?

No one yet in the Mainstream Industry.

Who would you love to work with and why?

(DC) via NYC(trini) MC Messiah B'cuz of his energy and perspective a collab would be really Hot! (Shoutz to the Bwoy)

How do you feel about Hip Hop right now?

Hip Hop right now is 100% corporate. Hip Hop is no longer the voice of the people at the Bottom. It is a bunch of rich individuals approving budgets for artist they like. When is the Last time you heard a New MC (That was pushed hard BIG BUDGET) you could relate to. (Like I really feel his/her Pain his/her struggle) they are out there SIGNED and Unsigned but NO BIG Budgets for their Music, Albums or Videos. Its all Ice Rap right Now NO BALANCE! So Hip Hop IS those Rich Executives Right NOW in that case HIP HOP is Rich. As a result the Culture lacks Substance!

What would you change about the music industry and why?

I would change exactly that. Have BIG BUDGET for different types of Artist. So the Music can once again be therapeutic for the 99% of us who dont take Champagne Baths.

Finally George Zimmerman has been officially charged with 2nd degree murder!

For weeks the family of Trayvon Martin has been petitioning the Florida courts to have the murderer of their son brought to Justice.  Finally, today Special Prosecutor Angela Corey has announced that she has enough evidence to charge George Zimmerman with 2nd degree murder.  I personally believe that Zimmerman should be charged with 1st degree murder because I know that Trayvon Martin was not murdered in self defense.  I hope that Justice Prevails!

Kim Kardashian vs Trayvon Martin

The always fabulous Kim Kardashian launched a new fragrance called True Reflection a few days ago.  Unfortunately, I haven't been able to smell the scent for myself but I heard it's amazing!  Needless to say, Kim Kardashian has almost single handed built an empire of  beauty, fame and fortune.  Just her name alone gets millions of viewers attention.  She is undeniably drop-dead gorgeous with a figure to die for and is smarter than most give her credit for.  There are so many negative people hating on the voluptuous beauty.  And, to my surprise there are a lot of men, actors who are openly hating on Kim Kardashian.  I'm not really sure why.  You have to respect her, she is doing her thing.

Now added to her list of haters, in my very small opinion, is Will Smith.  Last week he tweeted this:



We live in America where a girl that threw flour on Kim Kardashian is arrested on site.  But the man who KILLED Trayvon Martin is still free.

I don't get that reference at all.  To me one doesn't have anything to do with the other.  The woman that threw flour on Kim Kardashian should have been arrested.  That could have been anthrax or any other type of dangerous substance.  And, George Zimmerman should be arrested as well, for the senseless killing of Trayvon Martin.  I wonder how many celebrities have signed the petition that Trayvon Martin's parents created in order to receive Justice for their son.  How many of them rallied in person? Putting up a picture on fb and twitter is cool and all but, it's sad to say that Celebrities have more pull than us ordinary folk and I think that they should do more.

Lebron wanted to beat Bob Moore's butt!

First, let me say that Lebron James says that he Loves DC.  He probably meant that he loves beating the Wizards along with every other team in the NBA.  Bob Moore a Wizards fan/bully.  Began to heckle James.  He mentioned the rumor of Delonte West being with Lebron's mom.  Heckling first of all, just isn't OK.  Mentioning some one's mom is a bad move.  It just shouldn't happen.  I don't care who you are and who you are heckling.  Sarah Kogod tweeted how it all went down.

LeBron was waiting alone in the back court when fan Bob Moore made a comment to LeBron about Delonte West and LeBron's mom…According to Moore, LeBron said "The only reason you talk sh!t is because you know I can't come off the court right now and beat your ass...Also according to Moore, LeBron continued "But if I had a free pass, I'd kick your ass right now…Moore replied "I'm right here baby. Let's go" before security stepped in.

Entertainers are human beings.  Even though many people worship them and hold them to a higher standard, they have feelings just like everyone else.  Sometimes it's human nature to fight back.  I do fault Lebron, not really because it was only verbal.  But, Bob Moore should feel really lucky that security was there.

Can Randy Moss make a comeback?

Randy Moss retired from Football at the age of 34, August 2011. Today is his birthday now 35, Moss has decided that he would like to return to the NFL.  Many of his fans thought he retired too early.  It looks like Moss agrees with his fans. 

Moss insists that he retired because he needed to take care of some things in his personal life. He broadcasted live on Ustream announcing his possible return.  Moss was/is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.  He played successfully for 13 seasons.  The 5 time All-Pro player is hoping that there is a team that not only wants him but need him.  We all know that Randy Moss is still very impressive and is still in awesome shape.  We just hope that during his hiatus he dropped his bad boy attitude.  Ross has an impressive record.  There are many teams that can definitely use Moss like the Redskins.  They need a better Coach and Quarterback first. I hope a good team pick him up.  I am a huge fan of Randy Moss and would love to see him on the field again.

The 2012 Grammy's...what a waste!

Personally, I think the Grammy's are a great achievement for an entertainer.  However, the actual Grammy's Award show sucks to me.  Each year, I am left more disappointed than the last.  They would save money and stop wasting the viewers time if they would just mail the artist their award. Chris Brown performance was amazing.  Even if he lip synced, so what.  We know he can sing. That is why he won a Grammy for his Album F.A.M.E.   But Nicki Minaj didn't win a Grammy. I can't get down with Nicki in no way shape of form.  I feel like she is a sell out.  Her Gimmicks are over the top.  And, each song lacks talent.  First, she swagger jacked Lil Kim, now Lady Gaga.  The difference is those two actually created their style and image along with true talent.  I used to think Nicki Minaj had talent but the more I watch her the more she seems like a weird clown.  Is that hip hop?  And she calls herself the female Wayne.  I think not.

Adele took over by winning every category she was nominated.  I love Adele, she has great songs with real lyrics and her voice is just out of this world.  Our favorite ego-maniac, Kanye West won four Grammy's.  And he also won a Grammy along with our favorite Music Mogul daddy to Blue Ivy, the best rapper alive Jay-Z for their song OTIS.  Now, I believe I am the only person in the world who doesn't like listening to Jennifer Hudson sing.  She has a voice but I don't like the way she sings.  I think she is a beautiful girl with a winning personality but I would have much rather heard a Whitney Houston tribute from someone like Monica, Ledisi, Mariah Carey or someone like that.  Her performance was dry to me.

Bobbi Kristina rushed to the hospital this morning!

Bobbi Kristina was rushed to the CedarsSinai hospital in a ambulance this morning from the same Beverly Hilton hotel where her superstar mom was found dead.  It is reported that Bobbi Kristina, 19. had an anxiety attack.  I know that it must be painfully hard to deal with the death of her mom in which she idolized.  Bobbi Kristina was Whitney Houston's only child.  It was also reported that the police kept Bobbi Kristina from seeing her mothers body yesterday.  Of course she was furious and engaged in a verbal attack on the police.  Whitney Houston's cousin Dionne Warwick was also turned away by the police.

Please keep Bobbi Kristina and her family in your prayers.

Bobby Brown "I love you Whitney!"

New Edition is on their Reunion tour right now.  Last night, they performed at the Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi.  Many didn't think that Bobby Brown would perform after hearing the news that his ex-wife Whitney Houston was found dead in her Beverly Hills hotel room.  However, Brown decided that the show must go on in support of his dedicated fans. 

"First of all, I want to tell you that I love you all," he told fans. "Second, I would like to say, `I love you, Whitney.' The hardest thing for me to do is to come on this stage."

Towards the end of the show, Bobby's voice began to crack and the tears began to flow as he covered his face.  Bobby respectfully waved to the crowd and walked off the stage.  Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston were married for 15 years.  They have a daughter Bobbi Kristina (take a look at Bobbi Kristina's personal pics here at globalgrind.com.)  Many people blame Bobby Brown for Whitney's drug use but many close to Whitney reported that was not true.  Even though, the couple were famous for the rocky relationship and drug abuse, they loved each other very much.

Whitney Houston dead at 48!

Whitney Houston was found dead at 48, her publicist, Kristen Foster confirmed that she was dead in her Beverly Hills hotel room. The police was called at 3:23pm today by someone in her entourage.  The paramedics attempted to resuscitate her but she was pronounced dead at 3:55pm.  She was in town to attend the Clive Davis Grammy's Party tonight.  The party will still go on.

Whitney Houston is a Pop Icon and struggled with a declining career due to drug abuse.  Whitney was recently seen out with old boyfriend Ray-J.  It was also reported that Ray-J was with her in the hotel room and found her dead but in fact it wasn't Ray-J, CNN reported that it was her bodyguard name Ray who found her. Her death is still under investigation but right now is unknown.  I will keep her family and loved ones in my prayers and will update you all on this story as it breaks.

Beyonce and Jay-Z has declined to sell their baby's photos to magazines like many other celebrities and has sent they're own very special pictures of their beautiful baby, Blue Ivy Carter.  They didn't have an elaborate photo shoot or anything of the sort.  Just simple pictures of them with Blue Ivy that was just so natural and unrehearsed.  It's so refreshing.  I love how humble Beyonce and Jay-Z are.  Blue Ivy is beautiful.  Enjoy the pictures.  Thank you for reading!
